7 DAYS AGO - The EIRSAT-1 Team in UCD and JCSP Libraries have come together to create the Space Art Challenge. This exciting new space-themed art competition is open to students in JCSP schools across Ireland including Beaufort College. This follows on from our SPACE WRITING project, which Beaufort student, Joseph O'Reilly in first year has just completed. The SPACE WRITING project will see a collaborative poem by professional writers and 12 students including Joseph, etched onto Ireland's first ever satellite. This satellite will be sent into space next year. Find out more about EIRSAT-1 here.
In our SPACE ART CHALLENGE free art video tutorials with artists Helen Robinson, Jessica Erkal, Aidan Courtney, Emer O Boyle and Alan Nolan will be posted weekly on the JCSP Libraries YouTube Channel HERE – commencing on the week of February 22nd 2021.
